THE MISSION OF THE JUNG SHIN KWAN

Sin Moo Hapkido

Sin Moo Hapkido is a Korean martial art founded by Ji Han Jae Dojunim (founder) that promotes practical self-defense, strength, balance, and personal growth. Using striking, kicking, locks, throws, and various weapons, Sin Moo Hapkido is a complete system that everyone can use. With a strong emphasis on non-physical techniques such as meditation and Ki development. Sin Moo Hapkido provides practical physical training and tools to benefit practitioners in all aspects of their lives.

The Jung Shin Kwan

Jung Shin Sin Moo Hapkido training focuses on achieving better health and a more balanced lifestyle. We combine physical martial arts training with meditation and “Ki” breathing exercises to help practitioners achieve personal development, growth, and self-defense skills.  

The Mission Of The Jung Shin Kwan

  1. The Jung Shin Kwan is for anyone who is open to learning and who is interested in self-exploration and self-development regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin.
  2. The primary mission of the Jung Shin Kwan is to promote, self-exploration for personal growth and self-development, leadership, and a higher sense of community among our members, through Jung Shin Hapkido.
  3. Our mission is to preserve, promote, carry on, and contemporize the actual teachings, techniques, philosophy, and traditions of Hapkido as developed and taught by Dojunim Ji Han Jae and Doju Choi Yong Sul.
  4. It is our commitment to educate students in such a manner that will allow practitioners to achieve expertise and understanding of all of the aspects of the hapkido art.
  5. Our mission is to promote a keen understanding of Hapkido's physical and psychological aspects to help students reach their highest physical, mental, and spiritual potential.
  6. It is the duty of the  Jung Shin Kwan, to offer guidance and promote a sense of community and camaraderie among Hapkidoits and Hapkido studios as well as a martial artists of all styles in Northern Virginia, DC Metro region. 
  7. It is the purpose of Jung Shin Kwan to promote social change through, awareness, understanding, and internal, interpersonal, cultural, ecological, and ideological harmony.
  8. It is our mission to encourage the growth of strong sustainable communities through the study of martial arts, nature, literacy, cultural awareness, and assertive communication.
